A small town on the western shores of Puerto Rico.
It has the dubious honour of being the first town sacked by pirates in 1528.
It was further attempt to sack it was made in April 1538, but failed
March 1553 - attacked by French corsairs under Francois le Clerc
In 1716 the slaves of Antigua had grown very impudent and insulting, causing their masters to live in fear of an insurrection. A number of them took off to join the pirates.
