Sword Skill - This skill covers combat with any non ranged weapon, and covers swords, axes, pikes, spears, spades, belaying pins, 2'x4's, chairs, swinging muskets and any other things used in armed combat. The only time this skill is not used in hand to hand combat is if the character is dueling another person of rank.

All captains, sea going men and military men have a skill rank of 1. Non military land lubbers have a skill rank of 0.
