Harris, Charles - Captured by George Lowther while serving as the first mate on the logwood cutter, Greyhound, 10th January 1722. He was about 24 at the time, born in London, England.

• Jamaica sloop given to him on the 20th January 1722 while serving under George Lowther
• Ship abandoned and he went back aboard Lowther's Ranger early 1722
• When Low & Lowther split, he went with Low, 28th May 1722
• When Low captured the pink Mary, she was given to Harris and renamed Fancy
• The Fancy was lost during careening near Surinam, and he rejoined Low on his ship
• They captured a schooner, renaming her Fancy, but Harris was not given command. He disappeared from notice December 1722
• By 27th May 1723 he was in command of the Ranger off South Carolina, sailing with Low in the Fortune. She carried 8 cannon and 48 men
• She was captured by the Greyhound 11th June 1723, losing her mainsail in the engagement. She surrendered. The Greyhound suffered 7 casualties

• Came across a large ship, the warship Greyhound, and gave chase. Too late they realised their mistake, and in a running gun battle, the Ranger lost her mainsail, and surrendered
