Eureka's
25mm Napoleonic Era Figures
30th August 2003
Austrians
- Serassener Scouts (4 plus officer) The serasseners
were 'police' troops attached to some of the Grenz battalions. They usually
number about 250 men per pattalion, and their function on the battlefield
is not clear. All figures wear baggy trousers, shin boots, coat, wide belt
in which is stuck pistols and knives, and a long cape. They are all mustached
and wear a sock cap. Poses are kneeling firing, standing firing, standing
loading, standing priming. The officer stands with pistol in left hand, right
hand held up behind with curved sword. Posing is neat and plausable. Eye height
24mm, so not suitable for mixing with Front Rank/Elite figures but would go
with Old Glory/Foundry.
Bavarians
French
- Mamluks (4) with separate scabbards.
One has separate sword arm, another separate sword hand. Horses are in 2 variants
