Infantry with small kite shield, chainmail, spears and francisca axes. All
figures wear the mail coat (incl arms) to knee level, with pants beneath,
and simple metal helm. All are bearded. 4 variants are: standing shield on
back, holding axe 2 handed over shoulder about to strike, holding axe 2 handed
at chest with shield on back apparently waiting to receive, standing axe held
back in right hand, left hand holding shield forward with 2 throwing spears
in left hand as well. Holding spear in right hand, spear poring down at 45degrees
to ground. Shield held tightly in front, axe on back. No real problem with
these guys (except when you drop one and the axe breaks) Figure height 26mm

infantry with small kite shield, knee length tunic, sword, spear and francisca
axes. All men are bearded. Variants are: standing holding spear over arm with
shield forward. Standing spear held at shoulder slightly down, shield forward.
Standing 2 handed axe held upright at shoulder waiting to receive (no shield).
Standing shield forward, sword held at port over shield, waiting to receive.

Central Asian Turks
- Archers (4) Poses being
two firing, one drawing bow at waist, and one reaching for arrow from quiver.
They wear baggy knee length coats, baggy trousers and boots, with belt from
which is slung the quiver. The bows are short bows. The ethnicity to the faces
is quite good, with long droopy moustaches, braided hair at the ears, and
long hair down the back.
- Spearmen (4) Poses are thrusting
ove rhead, advancing spear held vertical, standing spear held vertical, and
standing receiving. Attired as above, but equipped with small plain shield
with raised boss.
Norse Irish
Shields are separate and sit on the shield boss cast onto the hand.
