This is the Austrian force ordered by Vienna to detach from the retreating Russian army and move to support Archduke John in the Tyrol. They were ordered by Kutuosov to rejoin the Russians, but his orders were delivered late, the French separated the two forces. They were overwhelmed at Mariazell, 6th November.
