There were 8 regiments in this period. They were composed of 8 squadrons nominally totaling 1100 men. However, on campaign this fell dramatically, particularly after the Ulm surrender. Early on, a regiment may consist of 800 men, but after Ulm the northern regiments fell to as little as 400 men. At Austerlitz regiments fielded only 6 squadrons of as few as 300 men! Early on in the Bavarian invasion, such as at Elchingen, the regiments were further split into 2 squadron formations and parceled out to brigades. Therefore a formation really varies depending on your area of operations, but for an early campaign regiment, there are 16 figures consisting of:
Trooper - The basic uniform for the cuirassier consisted of white coat and breeches. White breeches were the dress uniform, ligh tgrey breeches were for campaign. Your choice. The cuirass was black with red lining, and consisted only of a front piece with brass or blackened scales. The headgear was the German helmet, black with brass plate and black over yellow crest. The facing colour appeared on the cuffs, a stripe on the fore part of the collar, and 1" wide border of the turnbacks. Shoulder straps were white, the supported cartridge box black. The scabbard was black with brass or iron trim.
Officer - The basic uniform for the cuirassier consisted of white coat and breeches. The cuirass was black with red lining, and consisted only of a front piece with brass or blackened scales. The headgear was the German helmet, black with brass plate and black over yellow crest. The crest support for the officer was also brass. The facing colour appeared on the cuffs, collar, and 1" wide border of the turnbacks. Shoulder straps were white, the supported cartridge box black. The scabbard was black with brass or iron trim. White gloves.
Standard Bearer - The basic uniform for the cuirassier consisted of white coat and breeches. The cuirass was black with red lining, and consisted only of a front piece with brass or blackened scales. The headgear was the German helmet, black with brass plate and black over yellow crest. The facing colour appeared on the cuffs, collar, and 1" wide border of the turnbacks. Shoulder straps were white, the supported cartridge box black. The scabbard was black with brass or iron trim. The flag was a standard yellow ordinarfahne.
Bugler - The basic uniform for the cuirassier consisted of white coat and breeches. The cuirass was black with red lining, and consisted only of a front piece with brass or blackened scales. The headgear was the German helmet, black with brass plate and red crest. The facing colour appeared on the cuffs, collar, and 1" wide border of the turnbacks. Shoulder straps were white, the supported cartridge box black. The scabbard was black with brass or iron trim.
Saddle & Horse Furniture - The shabraque was red with a yellow/black/yellow band border, and gold imperial cypher. The lambs wool was white with red trim. The portmanteau was red. The rolled great coat was white. General horse furniture was black leather.
