As you sink into the unknown,
When she no longer throws a bone
And the realisation hits home.

The discord that's been sown
and the enmities that have grown
have turned her heart to stone.

Through the darkness you grope,
As you're hanging on the rope
All that's left is hope.

You're crushing in despair
Cause you fear she doesn't care
And there's no future waiting there.

In her eyes you see the stars
But her heart is locked behind bars
And she won't see who you are.

What power of love drives you on
With your heart beating like a song
Because it's with her you belong.

Her glance takes you higher,
She makes you burst with desire
Roaring like a caged fire.

Is it cursed to love too much?
For love to wither into dust
And descend into distrust.

She's made you pay your dues
And you've learnt to sing the blues
And your ego is all bruised.

There is so much left to learn,
Which way do you turn
When your heart still burns?

Will time fill the gap between
For a love that's never been
And has always been a dream?

The choice lies in her hands
You pray she understands
Your stomach is tied up in bands

Who wants to bicker
When your heart is beating quicker
Every second that you're with her

Will she stop being mad?
Can good times grow from bad,
Overcome the doubts she's had?

It's time to take a chance
To surrender into romance
And book her card for the last dance.
